Q. Do you have a favorite series that you read over and over again? Tell us a bit about it and why you keep on revisiting it?
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is a series I can't seem to help rereading. I can read my favorite parts over and over. I even got selfish enough that I have a hardback set for myself and a paperback set to loan out. I honestly don't know why I'm so drawn to these books.
The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead is another one that I have read several times. I love, love, love those books. They are so well planned out and the characters are so multi-dimensional. I could read them forever. One of the reasons I haven't read Bloodlines (even though it's sitting on my shelf) is because I'm terrified it won't live up to the original series.
Thanks for stopping by~ following back! :) I haven't read Vampire Academy yet but it sounds like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteHappy friday!
haha I guess I'm an old follower, not new. :p One away from 600 though!
ReplyDeleteOh I loved Bloodlines! Vampire Academy was really good, it's one of my favorite vampire books. But Bloodlines was just as good in it's own way. It wasn't as kick ass as VA but then again the main characters aren't in the same situation as the ones in VA were. It's really good and if you're still on the fence you should check out the Bloodlines vs. Vampire Academy debate we have going on over at Pretty In Fiction.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by earlier!
I've read Twilight but not the Vampire Academy. I have to admit, I wasn't a twilight fan, but I think that's because I'm not much of a romantic! haha
ReplyDeleteI love the name of your blog! I chose Twilight as well! Here is the link to my FF: Mom Reads My Books!
ReplyDeleteNew follower!
Hopping through. I have the hardcovers and also the paperback movie tie-ins for each Twilight book. I buy everything Twilight I can.
ReplyDeleteMy Hop
Thanks for hopping by my site. I loved Twilight too, although I haven't been drawn to read them again, maybe at some point though. I LOVED VA series too, and I haven't reread them yet, I might - I didn't read them THAT long ago, and I did read Bloodlines - it was great! Totally read it, it's a great addition to the VA world. Love the new characters, and the new point of view we get from the characters that were in the other series :D

Oh man, you're totally the first person I've seen who feels the same way as I did about Bloodlines! I didn't want to read it because I was afraid it'd not be the same without Rose and her awesome and the general storylines and the politics (which I loved) and ack! Change is bad! I have a friend though who kept IMing me snippets of the Bloodlines plot so I finally gave in and read it. And...it's good. It's not the same. I still miss Rose and there are parts I STARE at, but it's a worthy addition!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by, and I'm definitely a follower back! I love your blog!
Man, you're going to kill me for saying this, but I think I'd rather read school newsletter than those books! Twilight I tried and no way am I going back. And from reviews and other things about Vampire Academy, I realised I wouldn't like that either. But each to their own.
ReplyDeleteI understand your trepidation about reading something and it not being up to scratch. It is the bane of my reading sometimes.
