This week I'm waiting on....
By: Julie Berry
Summary:
Four years ago, Judith and her best friend disappeared from their small town of Roswell Station. Two years ago, only Judith returned, permanently mutilated, reviled and ignored by those who were once her friends and family. Unable to speak, Judith lives like a ghost in her own home, silently pouring out her thoughts to the boy who’s owned her heart as long as she can remember—even if he doesn’t know it—her childhood friend, Lucas. But when Roswell Station is attacked, long-buried secrets come to light, and Judith is forced to choose: continue to live in silence, or recover her voice, even if it means changing her world, and the lives around her, forever. This startlingly original novel will shock and disturb you; it will fill you with Judith’s passion and longing; and its mysteries will keep you feverishly turning the pages until the very last.
Why I Want It:
Honestly, I was first drawn in by the cover. But then once I read the synopsis, there's something dark and intriguing about this book. I'm sure it will be very dramatic and emotionally draining and I cannot wait for that.
All The Truth That's In Me will be released Sept. 26, 2013 from Viking Juvenile
Great pick. I love the cover.

YES HANNAH! I can't wait for this one either! It sounds a little along the lines of Pretty Girl 13 and I ADORED that book, so I'm both excited and absolutely terrified to find out what's happened to Judith.
ReplyDeleteI want to read this one as well (got it at BEA :)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds a bit like Another Little Piece, which was very dark and disturbing, but I loved it. And I agree, this cover really draws you in. Great choice!
ReplyDeleteHere's my WOW.

ReplyDeleteMy WoW!
Oooo, what a cool cover! While I am intrigued by the cover, I wouldn't have looked at this one twice, honestly, but now that I've actually read the synopsis... I think it sounds interesting! Hope you get to read it soon, Hannah!
ReplyDeleteMy WoW pick is Across A Star-Swept Sea by Diana Peterfreund!

It sounds SO DARK but so awesome. And the cover is creeeeeepy!
ReplyDeletegreat pick. new follower.
ReplyDeleteMan, that sounds INTENSE. I tend to like lighter books, but if darker books are well done I enjoy them. I think this is one where I'll read some reviews first and see if it's worth my while.
